I’ve been a fan of Caveman Cookies for a long time, and it’s not hard to understand why when these chewy cookies are so flavorful and delicious.

How I First Heard About Caveman Cookies

I was just out of law school and had just shared my dream of launching my own Paleo Food company with a good friend. Her immediate reaction was that I should contact Stephanie from Caveman Cookies!

Stephanie, the founder of Caveman Cookies, was a T&E attorney in New York City just like I was, and she had quit her job at a large New York law firm to start her Paleo food company. Stephanie gave me many pointers on starting a Paleo food company, and as many of you know, I co-founded Louise’s Foods several years ago (we decided to shut it down last year in order to concentrate on Paleo Flourish Magazine).

Her guidance and help was instrumental in realizing my dream!

So, How Do These Caveman Cookies Taste?

There are 6 flavors of Caveman Cookies, but if you can’t make up your mind which flavor you want, you can purchase assortment packs! My favorite is the Tropical flavor (almond meal, honey, unsulfured coconut, macadamia nuts, and ginger). The honey really peeks through along with the coconut and macadamia nuts.

The cookies are chewy – they’re made mostly from nuts and seeds held together using maple syrup or honey. (A few of the flavors have dried cranberries or cherries that have sunflower oil as an ingredient – it’s sadly something I find in a lot of dried fruits – so you might want to avoid those flavors.) They’re great as an easy treat, but I wouldn’t eat them all the time as they’re quite addictive! Luckily, the cookies are fairly small, so you won’t be ingesting a ton!

Where Can You Purchase Caveman Cookies

I originally bought Caveman Cookies from the New York Whole Foods, but you can also purchase them on their website or on Amazon.

They’re running a great special until October 12th – enter the code Halloween15 for 15% off when you purchase from their website.

A box of 8 cookies costs $5.95 (it’s an add-on item on Amazon, so if you’re looking to add a bit extra to your Amazon shopping cart, then these are the perfect treat).

Sneak Preview of Their New Holiday Flavor

For the holiday season, Caveman Cookies are releasing a new flavor – North Pole. The ingredients for it are: organic honey, maple syrup, almond meal, unsulfured coconut, raw cacao powder, pure peppermint extract, and cardamom. So, if you’re looking for a good Paleo stocking filler, then they’re now available on┬átheir website.
