Easy Bacon Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Brussels sprouts
  • 1 lb bacon, uncooked

Instructions

  1. Chop off the ends from the Brussels sprouts and chop each in half.
  2. Boil the halved Brussels sprouts for 10 minutes until tender.
  3. While the Brussels sprouts are boiling, chop the bacon into small pieces (approx. 1/2-inch wide), and cook the bacon pieces in a large pot on medium heat. When the bacon is crispy, add in the drained Brussels sprouts.
  4. Cook for 10 more minutes, mixing occasionally to make sure nothing gets burnt on the bottom of the pan.

A great tasting side dish. My only comment – did you really mean to say to boil the Brussels sprouts for 10 mins tgen panfry for 10 mins?
I boiled them for 3 minutes and pan fried for 3 or 4 mins (on medium heat) and they were overcooked! Almost like mooshy powder!
I’d suggest steaming them for 1-2 mins (if at all) then panfry 1-2 mins!
