Garlic Jalapeno Chicken Saute
Is that a FLIP-FLOP? And is that CHICKEN on it? Yes. And yes.
So,this post is about the chicken saute recipe (that’s on the plate), but first I just have to make so silly noises over the cute plate in the photo above! Yes, it is a plate in the shape of a flip-flop and not actually a flip flop! It was way too fun of a plate to place on my boring white counter-top, and so I photo-shopped (or rather Gimp’d) it onto a sandy beach photo. And yes, I’m grinning quite madly right now 🙂 And yes, to celebrate, I danced a little delighted jig in the kitchen where no one could see me!
I unfortunately don’t know where you can buy these flip-flop plates. J’s mum had a whole set of them at her house (in different colors, including pink!), and she was kind enough to give me one of them. In fact, most of our pretty plates and bowls are from J’s mum, including a beautiful tea cup and saucer that I’ll have to photograph soon! The IKEA ones are our own (in case you hadn’t guessed).
Ok, we can move on to chicken recipe. It’s a beautifully simple recipe that’s full of flavor! All you need is some garlic and some jalapenos, and of course, the chicken (which you should dice into very small pieces).
Mince the garlic, and saute it on a low heat in some coconut oil for 1 minute.
Then add the chicken and the jalapenos. Saute until the chicken is cooked.
And here’s the plate again (ok, I’m done talking about it).
- 1 chicken breast, diced small
- 3 jalapenos, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Place a frying pan on a low heat and add the coconut oil and minced garlic.
- Saute the garlic for 1 minute.
- Add the chicken and jalapenos.
- Saute until the chicken is cooked.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
