Favorite Bloggers: Juli Bauer
Juli lives in Denver, where she coaches CrossFit. Juli studied under Loren Cordain who also introduced her to Paleo, but she only started cooking and eating Paleo about three years ago, after she joined CrossFit.
Soon thereafter, she started blogging and hasn’t looked back!
PaleOMG.com is now one of the most popular Paleo sites on the web.
What We Particularly Love
Juli is funny, honest, makes AMAZING Paleo food, and writes awesome blog posts that always (and I mean, ALWAYS) bring a smile to my face!
Juli even warns that, “If you are easily offended, you will probably hate my blog posts.” (Clearly, I’m not easily offended.)
Just to give you another glimpse into her sparkling personality, here’s my favorite quote from Juli: “Tweet me on Twitter. I’m 96% sure I won’t write back.”
Juli is not apologetic about her food – she just loves eating! From comfort food to Paleo desserts, she’s got it all covered! And if there’s a non-Paleo dish that you wish you could have again, then she has probably already Paleo-fied it for you!
Favorite Recipes (We couldn’t choose just one)
With so many must-devour Paleo treat recipes on her blog, it is almost tempting to pick desserts, desserts, and more desserts, but I limited myself to just the Cinnamon Banana Waffles.
It’s a creative twist on a dish I thought I would never get to enjoy again, and you must admit that it sounds pretty darn good (before you even see the mouth-watering photos).
And Sweet Potato Enchiladas? Yes. Please.
Juli’s first book was: Omg. That’s Paleo? There’s a ton of great, easy-to-follow recipes in Juli’s book, including 30 new ones that don’t appear on her blog!
This past June, Juli came out with another book, The Paleo Kitchen, which she co-wrote with George Bryant. It’s an amazing book filled with tons of delicious recipes (it’s gotten over 460 5-star reviews on Amazon!).
