This is such a simple and delicious recipe and perfect for showing off your grilling skills without possessing any of those skills! It’s all in the marinade, and luckily, making the marinade just means dumping all the ingredients into a large bowl and stirring it. It’s also great because flank steak is such a cheap steak, so you can grill this all the time!
Saturday morning started with a really exhausting crossfit workout (wod was Helen), and so I needed something high in protein for brunch. Of course, it also had to be delicious! Having just bought some nice and ripe avocados the previous day, guacamole burgers seemed to be the perfect idea!
Since the weather’s been good recently, I decided to make use of the grill a bit more. Shrimp seemed like a great idea since it’s not something I often cook! I found a simple and well-reviewed recipe on allrecipes.com and didn’t even have to change it much as all the ingredients were already Paleo-acceptable (except for the tomato sauce, which sometimes contains added sugar if you buy the cans, and so I switched it for 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and 1/2 cup of water). The original recipe can be found here. It basically consists of marinating the shrimp in a tomato-ey sauce.
