Paleo Kale Chips – Review of Pacific Kale
Jadah West is the founder of Salted Paleo. When not blogging, Jadah loves to spend time at the beach, at her beloved CrossFit, and working as a model.
Being a Paleo food blogger doesn’t mean I only have Paleo friends. Indeed, I find myself hanging out with vegetarians, vegans, as well as other carnivorous eaters.
One thing that I’ve noticed every diet is in agreement about is the fact that kale is a super healthy food to eat.
In recent years, kale consumption has sky-rocketed with kale this and kale that! Personally, I still think the best way to eat kale is the classic kale chip. You get both that satisfying crunch as well as the tasty salty kick we all love.
Why Pacific Kale Chips are Tasty
You can make kale chips at home of course (recipe here), but if you want exciting and really tasty flavors without all that hassle, then you getting some Pacific Kale Chips is the better way to go.
Pacific Kale is located in Oregon, and the company operates on some excellent principles:
- Ten percent of profits go to charity
- They commit themselves to “rigorous standards and transparent business practices that positively impact our employees, environment, and world”
- Seventy-five percent of Pacific Kale’s suppliers and consumers are located within 200 miles of where the kale chips are produced
- Plus, did I mention that these chips are really tasty?
Pacific Kale Chips Flavors
Pacific Kale is very innovative in their flavors. Here are just a few of them: Stumptown Original, Lava Rock Sriracha, Pepperoni, and Rosemary Truffle. My personal favorite was the Pepperoni – strangely, it tasted a bit like pizza, even though it didn’t contain any meat, cheese, or gluten!
All of their kale chips are organic, vegan, raw and gluten free, making them acceptable on a Paleo, Primal, Vegetarian, or Vegan diet! So, I was able to share these chips with my all my non-Paleo friends as well – we all agreed about how great tasting these chips are!
These chips make for a great snack that you can take on car trips or eat as you watch a movie.
