Meat and Humans: A History
Last November, researchers carbon-dated the Earth’s oldest known figurative drawing, a 40,000-year-old cave painting in Indonesian Borneo. Depicting a large, cattle-like animal, the drawing has one notable feature: a spear sticking out of the animal’s side.
