Prep Time: 5 mins
Cooke Time: 15 mins
Makes 8 patties

  • 1 lb ground pork (or turkey)
  • 1 TBSP  fresh sage, chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup, optional
  • 1 clove  garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp  avocado oil

  1. In a large bowl, combine the pork, sage, rosemary, maple syrup (if using), garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into 8 patties of equal size, about 3/4-inch thick.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet set over medium-high heat. Add patties to the pan, leaving a little space between each one so they can brown. You may have to cook them in batches. Cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Flip and cook until the second side is browned, about 5 minutes more, or until cooked through.
  3. Serve immediately or let cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the freezer for later use.
