The Most Basic Bone Broth Recipe
All 15 Paleo bone broth recipes below build upon this very basic recipe – because, all you need for bone broth really is 1) bones and 2) water. Most people also add a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar (it’s believed the vinegar helps minerals to be extracted from the bones).
Here’s that super simple bone broth recipe:
- 3-4 lbs of bones
- 1 gallon water
- 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- Add everything to the crockpot (or a large pot if you don’t have a crockpot).
- Cook on low setting in crockpot for 10 hours.
- Cool the broth, strain and pour broth into container.
