Paleo Food Delivery – Review of Kettlebell Kitchen
I wish Kettlebell Kitchen had been around when I was still living in NYC!
We arrived back in New York City in September tired but happy from our stay in Edinburgh for the summer. We were only going to be in New York for a week before heading to California, but I was excited to see the city again and to catch up with some good friends.
What made our stay in New York even more exciting was the Kettlebell Kitchen delivery we got the first day!
What Is Kettlebell Kitchen?
Kettlebell Kitchen is a New York-based Paleo (and Zone) food delivery service – they deliver to over 120 locations in NYC, New Jersey, Westchester County, and Rockland County, and have plans to expand to other parts of the US. They’ve also joined the Amazon Fresh program in New York, which will be rolling out soon.
The company was started by two brothers, Andy and Joe Lopez, who are both originally from Cali. They’re serious about getting amazing quality food out to everyone who wants it. All their beef is 100% grass-fed, and they’ve got some amazing chefs on staff to make everything taste delicious too.
What’s on the Menu at Kettlebell Kitchen?
Jeremy and I tried 5 different dishes (thank you to Tim for hand delivering them to us!!).
Bison Beef Sliders
Bison beef sliders with sweet potato fries, sauteed cabbage and mustard aioli. These were really flavorful and filling, and I believe it’s one of their most popular items (which is hardly surprising).
5 Block Salmon Cakes (Zone)
Wild salmon and sweet potato cakes in zone proportions. I’ve always enjoyed fish cakes, so these were one of my favorites!
Mega Muffins with Apple
Paleo banana nut muffin with sliced apples. Even one month later, I still recall the ecstasy of biting into one of these muffins. They’re really good – just remember to warm it up first. You definitely won’t miss regular muffins after trying these!
Chicken Apple Sausage (Zone)
Homemade chicken apple sausage patties with freshly roasted peaches and our Paleo blueberry muffin – in 4 zone blocks.
Plantain Beef Chili
Grass-fed beef, roasted plantains, steamed broccoli. Chili is always hearty and warming – perfect for after a hard CrossFit WOD.
